Tom Thomas: Managing Mediator
Tom is a civil/commercial and workplace mediator who is involved in community mediation and international conflict resolution as well. He has extensive experience of working with government and public sector bodies; the private sector; in defence; and in international institutions. Tom is also Chair, Dispute Resolution Panel, NHS South East Coast SHA, a member of the Civil Mediation Council’s Communications and Accreditation Committees and is one of the two National Representatives of the National Mediation Helpline Provider’s Forum, liasing on their behalf with the Ministry of Justice.
Bryan Johnston: Solicitor Mediator
Bryan is Managing Partner of GoodyBurrett LLP, Solicitors and specialises in commercial and civil litigation. He is an accredited civil/commercial and workplace mediator drawing on his specialist knowledge of employment law, personal injury and professional negligence matters, as well as his wider experience gained as a solicitor. Bryan is an ex-Army Officer, a former Tendring District Councillor and stood for Parliament at the 1997 election. He is a non-executive Director of a Pension Company, Vice President of Colchester Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Law Society Dispute Resolution Section.
Susan Paul: Solicitor Mediator
Susan is a solicitor and specialist in Employment Law with a background in Commercial Litigation. She has worked in Local Government and spent 5 years as an Employment Judge before becoming a mediator and CEO of Eternal Alliances, which offers consultancy, coaching and training as well. She has been Chair of a major Charity and is Managing Partner of a busy GP practice. Susan is a member of the Law Society Dispute Resolution Section and adopts a very inclusive, positive and solution focussed approach to mediation.
Helen Menezes: Mediator
Helen is a qualified and experienced civil/commercial and workplace mediator who also works as a volunteer Community mediator for Tower Hamlets Mediation Service. She was Director of a successful Charity for many years and has extensive experience of Local Government as well as a background and current involvement in education.
Tony Calder: Mediator
Tony is an accredited civil/commercial and workplace mediator who, in his role as Deputy Lieutenant of the County, is also closely involved in community affairs. He is an ex-Army Officer and family man with extensive experience of working in government especially defence; the private sector, where he led a number of major projects to build and service facilities such as schools, hospitals and secure accommodation for young people; and international institutions.
David Brown: Solicitor Mediator
David is a solicitor of 38 years standing, a past president of The Suffolk and North Essex Law Society and current Senior Partner of GoodyBurrett LLP. David is able to draw on his specialisation in commercial property and corporate insolvency, as well as his much more extensive experience gained as a long-standing solicitor, when conducting civil/commercial mediation.
Robin Bramley: Mediator
Robin is a long-standing, highly qualified and experienced civil/commercial mediator who is also an Adjudicator, Arbitrator, Expert Witness and Justice of the Peace. By profession, Robin is a Surveyor and Farmer, and as a mediator is particularly experienced in handling commercial, property and agricultural matters – especially those involving family businesses, developments, construction matters, boundary issues and all aspects of farm management.
Martin Quinn: Solicitor Mediator
Martin is a solicitor based in Docklands with strong links to the local community. He has extensive experience of dealing with property, rental, leasing and local business matters but also draws on his wider experience as a solicitor of long-standing when handling other disputes as a civil/commercial mediator.
Shirley Paul: Mediator
Shirley is a civil/commercial mediator with a background in systems and process design engineering. She is also an effective consultant and facilitator with experience in the manufacturing, commercial and NHS sectors. Shirley has over 16 years of exposure to project and operational management in both the public and private sectors and has proven ability to facilitate team working within disparate multi-professional groups.
Dr Bhupinder Kohli: Mediator (Doctor)
Bhupinder is a civil/commercial mediator, a GP Partner, a Primary Care Trust Medical Director and a Management Consultant who is committed to developing mediation and conflict resolution in the National Health Service and within Families. He has been a GP Trainer since 1995 and was co-founder of the Newham Inner City Multifund. He is Chairman of Patient First, a GP provider company owned by 35 local practices with 200,000 patients, and has been pivotally involved in several major projects to support and motivate clinicians in order to improve patient access to health.

Sangita Patel: Mediator
Sangita is a civil/commercial and workplace mediator with 18 years of experience as a Trainer, Counsellor, Manager and Performance Coach. Sangita has a degree in Psychology and a Masters in Race Relations which combines her two passions of working and understanding people with creating a world where everyone’s differences and skills are respected, appreciated and maximised. She has coached and trained 1000’s of people to achieve their goals, including working with Health Care professionals within the NHS to help them maximise their performance within teams.
Hannah Breen: Workplace Mediator
Hannah is a Chartered (MCIP) Human Resources practitioner with line management experience who now runs her own HR Consultancy. In addition to being a fully trained and accredited Workplace Mediator, she is qualified in Management Coaching, and BPS Level A & B in Occupational Testing. Hannah can draw on strong organisational and planning skills, project management experience and her work in a strategic and operational capacity across all levels of an organisation to handle a variety of challenging situations successfully.
Lauren Sadler: Family Mediator
Lauren is a Resolution-trained Family Mediator who has forged her career as a Family Lawyer for the past 10 years and has extensive experience of handling divorce, separation and ancillary relief matters as well as dealing with the arrangements for children, including Public Law and child abduction cases.

Miyako Abiko: Administrative Co-ordinator
Miyako read her Bachelor of Laws degree at University of Tokyo and subsequently studied for her MA in Public Administration at International Christian University in Tokyo. In the UK, she gained her LL.M. in International Human Rights Law at Essex University, where she also continued further postgraduate studies in international law and human rights before working for a local Solicitor and, subsequently, GLEAMED LLP.
